HOW ARE ENFORCEABLE LAWS MADE IN WASHINGTON STATE?

Congress creates enforceable laws upheld by the US Constitution and reviewed by Supreme Court when challenged. The President can present bills to Congress, and he signs bills into law or vetoes them. A President can do Executive Orders, but only as far as his enumerated powers in the  Constitution, and those powers granted to him by Legislation. Voted in laws passed via Initiatives to the People in the state of Washington also create laws, which offer a system of checks and balances over its state legislator. As an employer or employee, please consult with the "Lawyers" page for legal advice.
